What the Claude AI SEO system does
Claude Code is Anthropic’s agentic coding tool. The Claude Code docs describe it as a tool that reads your codebase, edits files, runs commands and works with your other tools. It also reads a CLAUDE.md file at the start of every session, connects to services through MCP and can run scheduled tasks.
That’s exactly what an SEO system needs. My system uses Claude Code to do the whole job: find the keywords, write the pages, publish them, get them indexed and report back. I don’t write the articles. I write the rules and check the results.

Step 1: real data from Search Console
Everything starts with real data. I connect Google Search Console to Claude using a service account, so Claude can pull impressions, clicks and rankings itself. No guessing, no keyword tool estimates. If Google is already showing your site for a search, that’s a signal you can act on.
Step 2: skills and rules
Claude Code has a feature called skills. The skills docs put it simply: create a SKILL.md file with instructions, and Claude adds it to its toolkit. Personal skills live in your home folder, under .claude/skills.
My system runs on three skills:
- Keyword research — finds the gaps in Search Console.
- SEO articles — writes and publishes pages to my static sites.
- WordPress posts — writes and publishes to my WordPress sites.
Each skill holds the rules: the page template, the CTAs, what to never do. When something goes wrong, I fix the skill once and every future page is better.
Step 3: find the missing keywords
A gap is a search where you get impressions but zero clicks, and you have no page made for it. That last part matters. The trick I learned the hard way: judge whether you have a page by the URL Google actually ranks for that search, not by a list of your own pages. Your list is always out of date. Google’s data isn’t.
If Google ranks a page that’s only loosely related, that’s a gap. A dedicated page will usually beat it.
Steps 4 and 5: plan, write and publish
Once the gaps are found, Claude plans the pages and checks each one won’t compete with a page I already have. Then it writes and publishes. On my static network, one keyword becomes ten unique articles on ten different sites — each written fresh, not copied and spun.
Every page follows the same template: answer-first intro, clear headings, an FAQ and a strong call to action. My Claude AI SEO case study shows that template working on a single site from zero.
Steps 6 and 7: indexing and AI search
A page nobody finds does nothing. Claude submits every new URL for indexing through the Indexceptional API, so search engines discover it quickly.

Step 8: track in plain English
The last step is the one I use every day. I have a simple dashboard and I can just ask Claude “how are my sites doing?”. It pulls the latest Search Console data and tells me what’s growing, what’s dropping and what to build next. That answer feeds straight back into step 3.

Who this system is for
This system suits anyone who wants to publish lots of focused pages without writing each one by hand: agency owners, local businesses with many services or areas, and content site owners. It works best when you already have a site with some impressions in Search Console, because that’s where the gaps come from.
It’s not a shortcut around quality. Every page still needs to answer the search well, and you still need to review what goes live. What changes is where your time goes. Instead of writing articles, you spend it improving the rules, checking results and deciding what to build next. If you’re starting from a brand-new site, begin with one site and one skill, get that working, then add more.
